The Florida Air Museum and Aerospace Center for Excellence Welcomes New Museum Director

The Florida Air Museum and Aerospace Center for Excellence welcomes Nicholas Mathes as our new Museum Director!

Nicholas Mathes is a long-time Polk County resident being born and raised in Mulberry Florida. Nicholas married his high-school sweetheart in 2009 and has two children, Jaida, age 12 and Ezra, age 7. Nicholas holds two Master’s degrees from Liberty University; a Master of Arts: in Human Services and a Master of Arts: History with a museum management emphasis. In addition to his work at the Florida Air Museum, Nicholas also teaches at Polk State College as an adjunct professor for their SLS program. He enjoys playing video games with his kids, racquetball, kayaking, and tabletop board games.
