SUMMARY:STEM Sprouts
DESCRIPTION:This parent participation class is designed for children between 3-5 years old. Each week\, students and parents will explore a letter of the alphabet and a corresponding aviation concept using engaging\, hands-on\, skill-based learning centered around play. \n\n\n\nClasses are held on Monday mornings from 9:00-10:15am. Each week has a unique theme\, and enrollment is limited to 15 students using our online registration system. The class fee is $10 per student\, with a 50% discount given to Florida Air Museum members. Parents can also purchase the full 26 weeks of the course at a deeply discounted bundle price. Admission to the Florida Air Museum and Destination: Aviation Playground are included in the class fee. Frescos will provide a delicious breakfast\, so bring your appetite. \n\n\n\nThis year’s keynote speaker is Nan Walsh. During her illustrious aviation career\, she served as an air traffic controller for fourteen years\, a Northwest Airlink commercial airline pilot for ten years\, and the Assistant Airport Director at Lakeland Linder Airport for 10 years. She knows us well! Ms. Walsh operates a company providing air traffic control services for large\, special events such as the Super Bowl and the Masters Golf Tournament. Next year will be Nan Walsh’s 50th year of flying!  \n\n\n\nTickets are per person. Tables of 10 are only available with sponsorship. Please contact Sheena Banker at sbanker@flysnf.org. SUMMARY:Wings 'n Waffles - Michael Goulian
DESCRIPTION:Join us from 9 AM – 10 AM to enjoy breakfast (chicken and waffles\, thus the event name). Our March speaker is award winning aerobatic pilot\, Mike Goulian. \n\n\n\nMichael Goulian is a multi-disciplined aerial demonstration pilot. Beginning his career in the competitive world of aerobatics\, Goulian earned the distinction of becoming one of the youngest pilots to ever win the United States Unlimited Aerobatic Championship at the age of 27. His signature air show performance combines the heart-stopping gyroscopic tumbling of modern display flying with the crisp\, aggressive\, demands of precision competition aerobatics. \n\n\n\nIn 2006\, Goulian joined an elite group of pilots competing in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship. Competing as Team #99\, Goulian and his team are engaged in a battle of technology\, skill\, and execution against 13 of the world’s fiercest competitors. \n\n\n\nIn addition to his air show and air racing credentials\, Michael Goulian is a Certified Flight Instructor. A firm believer in scenario based training\, Goulian is a Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot (CSIP)\, and regularly traverses the country in a Cirrus SR-22\, delivering talks to aviation groups designed to increase the awareness of safety and proficiency amongst the general aviation pilot community. He owns and operates Mike Goulian Aviation in Plymouth and Bedford\, MA\, as Authorized Cirrus Training Centers. \n\n\n\nCareer Highlights: \n\n\n\n\n2011 ICAS Sword of Excellence\n\n\n\n2009 Bill Barber Award for Showmanship\n\n\n\n2006 Art Scholl Showmanship Award\n\n\n\n3 Time member: US National Unlimited Aerobatic Team\n\n\n\n1995 United States National Unlimited Aerobatic Champion\n\n\n\n1990 United States National Advanced Aerobatic Champion
