SUN ‘n FUN Fly-In Mourns death of Board Member Dr. Sherrod R. Campbell III

SUN ‘n FUN Fly-In Board Member, Dr. Sherrod R. Campbell III went west on his final flight January 18th, 2020 in Lakeland, Florida surrounded by his family as a result of Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was 82.

Dr. Campbell was a strong supporter of the SUN ‘n FUN Fly-in as a Board Member and volunteer for over 35 years. Dr. Campbell was committed to his family, church and community in numerous ways. “Dr. Campbell was a part of a very strategic time for our organization. His participation in stewarding  SUN ‘n FUN Fly-in’s growth brought us to where we are today – a vibrant organization creating the next generation of aerospace professionals. Sherrod will be missed” said John “Lites” Leenhouts, CEO/President of Aerospace Center for Excellence, the parent company of the SUN ‘n FUN Fly-in event.

Please join the family celebrating Dr. Campbell’s life on January 25th, 2020 at First United Methodist Church at 10am, 72 Lake Morton Drive, Lakeland Florida.
