February Wings ‘n Waffles

Every month, the Florida Air Museum and the Aerospace Center for Excellence host a speaker series called “Wings ‘n Waffles.” This series brings in a guest speaker with an aviation background, and they share their path to becoming what they are today. While the guest speaker shares their presentation, guests can enjoy chicken and waffles!

This month, we had the opportunity to host Eric Washburn, a Frontier Airlines Chief Pilot who started out as a Police Officer and built hours to become an airline pilot when he decided to switch careers. Today, as well as being a Chief Pilot for Frontier Airlines, he is also a certified Test Pilot for the company. During the breakfast, Eric gave us an insight into Frontier Airlines’s operations.

Be sure to stay tuned for more information on March Wings ‘n Waffles where we will host Lee Lauderback from Stallion 51. After his presentation, we will unveil a new Bob Hoover aileron donated to the Florida Air Museum by the ICAS Foundation! Click here to register for March Wings ‘n Waffles.

The next Wings ‘n Waffles will be on March 9, 2024, from 9-10 AM. Museum members receive FREE admission. Non-museum member admission is only $10/person.
