Central Florida Aerospace Academy opened its doors in August 2008 on the Sun ‘N Fun and Aerospace Center for Excellence campus at Lakeland Linder International Airport.

Central Florida Aerospace Academy of Kathleen High School is a unique career and technical STEM public high school academy developed to provide students with an interest in aviation, aerospace, and engineering technologies an opportunity to participate in industry-related electives, earn industry certifications and licenses, and complete dual enrollment/ advanced placement college credit all while completing their high school education. Students attend high school everyday on Lakeland International Airport property and also have access to participate in traditional high school activities such as sports, clubs, and committees.

In addition to the rigorous academic courses, CFAA offers aeronautical instruction including flight training, aircraft maintenance and avionics, engineering, UAS operations, FAA Part 147 Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic courses, and boasts an impressive Air Force JROTC program. CFAA is proud to be recognized as a National Career Academy Coalition Model Academy School.
