Explore the Engaging World of STEM
This class is designed for children between 9-11 years old and is divided into STEM-centric learning units. Each unit has a unifying theme and consists of four weekly class meetings. Those class meetings follow a standard monthly progression that enables students to explore various aspects of the theme, encouraging them to develop their own interest in the concept beyond simply learning facts.
Students will progress through each monthly theme by addressing content using this method:
Week 1 – Biography of an Influential Theme Figure
Week 2 – Geography
Week 3 – STEM Concept
Week 4 – Art
Classes are held on Monday afternoons from 3:00 – 4:00pm. Registration for each theme includes the entire unit (all four classes) using our online registration system; enrollment is limited to 18 students. The class fee is $75 per student, with a $25 discount given to Florida Air Museum members. Admission to the Florida Air Museum and the Destination: Aviation Playground are included in the class fee.*
