These FAQs serve as a general guideline for guests attending events held on our campus. Guidelines may change for some events, and attendees are strongly encouraged to contact the host organization and for their specific event policies.

Q. May I bring a backpack?
A. Yes – but, may be subject to search!
Q. May I bring my own chair?
A. Yes.
Q. May I bring my own cooler?
A. Coolers may only be permitted in the campground. Check the policy of the event you are interested in attending.
Q. May I bring a pop-up tent?
A. Pop-up tents are permitted in the campground only.
Q. May I bring my own golf cart?
A. The use of personal Golf Carts is handled differently by various host organizations. Check the policy of the event you are interested in attending.

Q. May I bring my pet?
A. Depending on the event, pets may be permitted within the event perimeter or may only be permitted in the campground if applicable. Check the policy of the event you are interested in attending. If allowed, pets must always be leashed and under control of the owner. The owner must pick up after the pet and leave the area clean.
Please note – the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus has expansive asphalted areas which can cause harm to pets. If pets are allowed for the event you wish to attend, please use good judgment on hot days.
Qualified service animals are allowed on leash, and requires owners to pick up after the pet and leave the area clean.
Q. I’m driving to the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus, how do I get there?
A. The SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus is accessible from I-4 or Hwy 60. Please go to the “Driving In” page for more information on directions.
Q. I’m flying in to Orlando/Tampa. Will there be transportation available to the event?
A: More information can be found on the Transportation page.
Q. What other things are there to do in area after my visit to the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus?

Q. What items are prohibited on the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus?
A. In general, the following are prohibited items for any event on the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus:
- Bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, two-wheeled scooters;
- Unauthorized vehicles;
- Weapons, except for those carried and concealed pursuant to a valid concealed weapons permit, pursuant to Chapter 790, Florida Statutes;
- Fireworks, explosives or explosive devices, and inflammables;
- Alcohol or alcoholic beverages;
- Controlled substances;
- Destructive devices;
- Pets, with the exception of service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA);
- All remotely controlled devices such as drones, aircraft, cars, etc.;

Q. I lost an item. Is there a lost and found?
A. Each event will handle Lost and Found differently. Please check the website of the host organization for more information.
Q. Is there designated smoking areas?
A. Smoking is permitted in clearly marked, designated areas only.
Please note: smoking marijuana is not permitted at any time, even in designated smoking areas.
Q. I would like to link to this site from my homepage. Can I use the SUN ‘n FUN logo and name?
A. The SUN ‘n FUN name and logo are registered trademarks. Refer to our legal notice for more information on its proper and legal use.
Tents
Tent rentals, set-up, and placement must be approved by SUN ‘n FUN prior to setting up. Tents are available for rental from one of our Preferred Partners. Proper weights must be used with tent on concrete and asphalt. Tent stakes are only allowed in grassy areas.
Other Equipment
Large equipment at your event (such as inflatables, dunk tanks, large stages, semi-trailer trucks, etc.), or any items that require excessive electric power must receive prior approval from SUN ‘n FUN. Depending on the equipment item and power needs, client may be required to provide a quiet generator.
Portable Toilets & Hand-Wash Stations
SUN ‘n FUN offers inside restrooms at several locations around the campus. We do have some spaces that may require portable toilets and hand-wash stations, depending on the scope of the event. SUN ‘n FUN can secure these comfort items for you at competitive rates from one of our Preferred Partners.
Venue Clean-Up
The client assumes responsibilities for clean-up and disposal of all event displays, confetti, ribbon, garland, banners and any other décor on the floors, walls or tables as well as any exterior décor.
Trash Management
SUN n’ FUN provides the necessary amount of trash barrels, cans and liners. Depending on the time of the year and the availability of SUN ‘n FUN volunteers, the Raiders Volunteers will gladly pick-up and remove bagged trash at location agreed upon. Should Raiders Volunteers not be available, it will be the responsibility of the client to remove trash and deposit it in the dumpster. The dumpster lid must be able to close. Rental dumpsters left overnight will need to be covered or netted, and cannot be left for more than two (2) days.
What Are The Options For Guest Accommodations & Lodging
SUN ‘n FUN is conveniently located near accommodation options – including our Campground here on Campus with full hook-ups and dry (tent) camping. There are also hotels and short-term rentals near us. Options may be found at VisitCentralFlorida.org.
Documents Required By The City
For events that will use City of Lakeland Safety Services (Lakeland Police, Fire Department, Traffic, etc.), a Special Event Permit application will need to be completed.

Certificate of Insurance with SUN ‘n FUN Fly-In, Inc. and the Lakeland Linder International Airport as additionally named insureds may be required depending on the scope of your event.
