Our Take Flight Summer Camp is an advanced camp for 9th – 12th grade students, intended for those who are seriously interested in and are considering pursuing their private pilot certificate. Campers will participate in accelerated ground school sessions covering the following topics; principles of flight, flight controls, flight instruments, weight and balance, performance, weather, airport operations, airspace, and navigation. After each session, campers will apply their instructional knowledge in our Redbird Flight Simulation Lab. At the end of the week, campers will take to the skies and fly in a general aviation aircraft with a certified flight instructor at Skyborne Airline Academy in Vero Beach, Florida and log their flight time in their very own logbook.

Camp Start Time: 9:00 am
Camp End Time: 4:00 pm
(Camp will end on Friday at 4:00 pm this year. There is NO Graduation for Summer 2025. Instead campers will be treated to an Ice Cream party and Awards.)
**Important: Campers must arrive to ACE by 7:00 am on Tuesday and 6:00 am on Thursday for field trips and cross-country flights. Campers will travel by Charter Bus to their field trips and flights.
