Destination Aviation
Destination Aviation is our longest standing summer camp intended for 6th – 9th grade students. Experienced instructors will help campers dive into the world of aviation through experiential learning opportunities, hands-on activities, and flight simulation. Consider Destination Aviation as a camp for early aviators with little to no flight experience, but who are interested in pursuing their private pilot certificate. Campers will be introduced to the following: principles of flight, flight controls, flight instruments, weight and balance, aviation weather, airport operations, airspace, and navigation. Campers will then have the opportunity to participate in a 30-minute local exploratory flight with a certified flight instructor – observing first-hand the application of the concepts and skills learned during camp.

Camp at a Glance
Monday – Friday
Camp Start Time: 9:00 AM
Camp End Time: 4:00 PM
(Camp will end on Friday at 4:00 pm this year. There is NO Graduation for Summer 2025. Instead campers will be treated to an Ice Cream party and Awards.)
**Important: Campers must arrive at ACE no later than 7:00 am on Wednesday for flights. You will be provided a flight schedule prior to the start of camp.
