Build and Manage Your Own Airline!
This class is designed for students 11-14 years of age. Students participating in this course will complete the TransportEd Challenge, which will allow them to explore non-pilot careers through team-based airline simulation competitions. Students will be divided into teams and tasked with creating their own airline. Then they will be presented with weekly challenges that explore the jobs of an aircraft mechanic, flight dispatcher, flight scheduler, airline human resources professional, and more! Students will also meet non-flying industry professionals and learn more about the real-life careers they have discovered in class.
Classes are held on Tuesday mornings from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM. Enrollment is limited to 20 students and is secured by using our online registration system. The class fee is $500 per student, with a $50 discount given to Florida Air Museum members.
